I grew up in South Texas, where my dad had a gym and I was in it from the time I could walk. That's where it started. Fitness, health, and understanding how the body works have been the through line of everything I've done since.
I served in the U.S. Army in Hawaii, earned physical fitness medals, and deployed to Haiti as part of Operation Uphold Democracy. After the Army I kept building — nutrition, athletic training, massage, pre and post rehabilitation, endurance running. Eventually chiropractic school made sense as the natural next step.
The clinic reflects that background. There's a full gym on site with Hyrox and Deka specific equipment including a ski-erg and sled, plus a Leander flexion-distraction table — a specialized chiropractic table most clinics don't have. I train for and compete in Hyrox and Deka events myself, so I know exactly what it takes to prepare for those events. That said, you don't need to be a competitor to take advantage of the setup. The equipment makes every workout more varied and effective regardless of your fitness level.
At Structure, all of that background comes into every session. You're not getting a provider who only knows adjustments. You're getting someone who has spent decades in gyms, on trails, and in clinics figuring out how bodies actually work and what it takes to keep them performing.
When I'm not at the clinic, I'm probably training for a hyrox or deka competition or adding to my comic book and superhero memorabilia collection. Yes, really!
“By far the best Chiropractic experience I’ve had.”
I was in serious back pain for a few days. On a Saturday I decided to call around. Dr Valdez called me back and had me come in on his day off. He was truly a godsend. Worked with me to find my issues. Felt so much better after I left. I will be a forever patient from this point forward and refer Dr Valdez to anyone with chiropractic needs. Thanks again Dr Valdez. We need more people like you in this world.
